Welcome to South Somerset Cycling. We hope this site will be of interest to both visitors to the area and local leisure and touring cyclists. One of the best ways to explore Somerset is by bike, following a vast network of quiet country roads. From our Centre in Langport, we have created five cycle rides which will help you explore the unspoilt countryside around South Somerset.

Langport has been called the "gateway to the Somerset moors". It is a small town with a significant historical background. This is an uncrowded and in places quite remote area which has a unique and very open landscape. It is this remoteness that provides a relaxing atmosphere for both cycling and walking.

Our cycle routes provide an ideal way of exploring the area and visiting quiet historic villages, local crafts people and outstanding gardens and nurseries. And for the foodies..cider making, a smokery, farm and tea shops. Rides range from 3 miles in length to 24 miles. And for the advanced cyclist, there is the 80 mile round South Somerset route

All our cycle routes start at the Langport and River Parrett Visitor Centre which is also the home of Bow Bridge Cycles and Cycle Hire. Please look at our location page to find us. While we will be pleased to hire you a bike, you are welcome to bring your own machine and make use of all our facilities and parking. Feel free to ask to use our workshop pump before you set off on a ride.
