Our Centre
The Langport and River Parrett Visitor Centre is the perfect base for both walkers and cyclists who wish to explore this unique landscape.
Walkers and cyclists are welcome to make use of the free car park beside the Centre and toilets which are located inside the building.
Within the building can be found displays and information explaining the fascinating story of historic Langport and the surrounding countryside.
Visitors wishing to enjoy a short walk can obtain a free leaflet giving details of two short circular routes from the Centre (1 1/2 and 3 miles). Ordnance Survey maps and a selection of walking books are available from the shop for the more adventurous walker.
For those wishing to cycle, free cycle route maps are available. Bikes can be hired from the Centre, but you are welcome to bring your own bike and make use of our facilities.
A cycle shop is located within the Centre along with a service and repair workshop. A selection of accessories and spare parts are always available for purchase.
During the spring, summer and early autumn, ice creams and cold drinks are available on site. Within a short walk a number of tea shops, pubs and hotel can be found.
